About Me

After an unexpected and significant loss in my thirties, I discovered the benefits of talking to a professional. My GP then asked me if I would mind if he passed my contact details on to several other patients who unfortunately also experienced a similar significant loss. Through this, I found that I loved to help people. It gave me a sense of pride and purpose and I then went on to study hard to become a counsellor and learn all of the aspects of my profession.

I’m a member of the National Counselling Society (NCS) which verifies counsellors in the UK and ensures their members are working to high professional standards and codes of ethics.

I work using an integrative counselling approach which essentially means working with different styles or theories to meet each person’s needs. What works for one person may not necessarily work for another. Integrative counselling is based on different therapeutic modalities and I combine these in a way that best suits my clients’ needs.

I have a special interest in working with
